In local and district heating networks, heat is supplied to consumers by using a heat generator via a pipeline network, which is operated with water or hot steam.

Local heating networks

Local heating networks are operated with circulating water at 70 – 110°C and a maximum of 10 bar operating pressure. The heat is generated in the heating centres with natural gas, biogas or wood chips. Heat is transferred to the consumers by means of district heating substations (heat exchangers). As a result, local heating network and consumers are decoupled.

District heating networks

District heating networks are operated with circulating water at 105 – 150°C and a maximum of 25 bar operating pressure. The heat is either generated in the heating centres by using natural gas or oil or is available as waste heat from production processes (e.g. power generation). The various filter systems of DANGO & DIENENTHAL Filtertechnik GmbH not only enable an optimal protection for the system components, but maintenance costs can be also significantly reduced.
